How To Check Online Whether Both PAN And Aadhaar Are Linked?

PAN is an exclusive ten-digit alphanumeric number given out by the Indian Income Tax Department. It is distributed as a plastic card that has been laminated (commonly known as PAN card). For the purposes of taxation, it acts as a special identification number for people and companies in India.

Linking of PAN With Aadhaar

With effect from July 1, 2017, the Finance Act of 2017 added a new section 139AA to the Income Tax Act of 1961, mandating every individual who is qualified to receive an Aadhaar to provide his or her Aadhaar number when applying for a PAN or providing a return of income. Before March 31, 2023, if you haven’t already, you must link your PAN card and Aadhaar. If not, you won’t be allowed to use it starting on April 1, 2023. The 10-digit unique alphanumeric number will stop working when the PAN card holders miss this deadline.
