PMUY Scheme: Latest Event

Through video conference, PM Modi spoke with PMUY recipients on May 28, 2018. During the meeting between Modi and the recipients, a number of PMUY-related topics were covered. Additionally, he discussed the ways in which the PMUY plan has helped the poor, Dalits, and tribal communities. The Prime Minister also discussed how this plan has empowered the women in the households. Additionally, the program avoids the health risks that household members would often have when cooking food with firewood rather than LPG.

Additionally, Modi told the beneficiaries about the nationwide LPG panchayats. People are given safety advice on using LPG as well as vital information on the PMUY plan at these LPG panchayats, which are hosted in the most remote and difficult-to-reach rural areas. Speaking about the program’s advantages, Modi stated that women can now spend more time with their families because they don’t need to spend as much time cooking as they did in the past. The PM stated that PMUY has improved people’s lives in multiple ways as she concluded the video conference.
