How To Avail Services Of SBI, PNB, BOB, UBI At Your Doorstep

Most individuals now prefer to get most of their work done from the safety of their homes, particularly senior citizens, avoiding any personal contact with outsiders because of the fear of the deadly coronavirus. However, private visits can often be inevitable, such as in the case of bank-related work to change passbooks or send TDS certificates or to make cheque payments, etc.

Banks, however, have now stepped up their game and begun providing doorstep services for most work related to banks.

State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), Union Bank of India (UBI), Bank of Baroda (BOB), Bank of India (BOI), Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), UCO Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and Punjab & Sindh Bank customers can avail the PSB Alliance Doorstep Banking Services.

The Following Are The Available Services:

A) Pick up client services and send them to the branch

  • Cheques/Clearing / Collecting Instruments
  • New Cheque Book Requisition
  • Requesting Standing Orders
  • Challan with Cheque -IT/Govt / GST
  • Online Certificate of Life (through Jeevan Pramaan App)

B) Distribution Services to the customer from the bank branch

  • Advice on Term Deposit
  • Statement of Account
  • TDS & Form 16 Issuance of a certificate
  • Gift Card / Pre-paid Instrument
  • Plan of production, pay orders

Financial Services

  • Deposit
  • Withdrawal

It is appropriate to deposit or withdraw a minimum of Rs 1,000, while the maximum cap for cash pick-up and delivery services is currently Rs 10,000. These financial services can be used with the use of AePS (Aadhar enabled Payment System) or Debit Card.

To use the DBS, a customer must register himself/herself via mobile or laptop/desktop computer in the Doorstep Banking App. Registration is carried out via mobile OTP.

Here are the following things to do after registration to put DBS requests:

  • Visit and pick a bank from the Doorstep Banking App.
  • Input and apply your account number/PIN.
  • On authentication, an OTP is sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Submit the ‘confirm’ button after the OTP has been entered.
  • App displays (Bank Name, Account No, Name, Form A/c and Branch Name) after OTP validation has been successful.
  • Choose the service request that you want to put, the number of instruments and the pick-up address.
  • The branch shown on the screen must be chosen within 10 km of the pickup address radius, the preferred time slot for the agent to select/deliver the instrument.
  • Verify the details on the Service Request along with the service charges shown on the computer.
  • A Service Request No. is produced and you will be notified by SMS of the assigned agent with details such as agent name, agent photo, contact information, pick up/delivery time & service code) on verification.
